Canny Yoga at the Heaton Festival
On the 24th of June the people of Heaton gathered up in Heaton Park to celebrate the community, the park and of course the summer with a festival full of fun, food and games and of course yoga! I was at the Sports Zone waiting to meet new faces, greet old friends and offer free yoga classes throughout the day for those who didn't mind practicing out in the open. The wind threatened to take down our gazebo, but we beat it to it and took it down ourselves! Health and safety you see! It was a wonderful sunny day with lots of familiar and new faces coming by and practising yoga with me and we can't wait for the next one!
Monthly Yoga Nidra workshop
***NEW DATE 07/10/2018***
Yoga Nidra is a form of deep and restorative relaxation whereby bringing your attention through guidance to different parts and functions of the body, you allow the mind to enter a state of slower brainwave activity yet retain a quality of quiet alertness.
In this state it is said that you can access the subconscious part of the mind where ideas and dreams can take form and root, therefore enabling you to plant seeds for the manifestation of your goals.
But that is not all that Yoga Nidra is about. It is not simply a tool that we go to when we need things but it is a continuous practice of learning to live more fully and mindfully, of remembering to rest profoundly.
Every session is slightly different as we bring in to the practice things that we are working with: either issues to be solved or goals and dreams to be nurtured. What remains a constant in all sessions is the settling in a quiet, content space and the profound rest.
Spaces for this workshop go quickly as they are limited to only 8 people so that everyone can go deep and comfortably into their practice. If you are interested in taking part in the next instalment, please express your interest by dropping me a line here.
For payments, please pay directly at 30-64-34, 17571168.
In case of cancellation, if your space fills up, full refund will be given.
If your space doesn't fill up, no refund will be given.
